Operation Christmas Child »

We are supporting Operation Christmas Child.  We have invited children (and parents!) to pack a Christmas box for this charity event.  Please look at the website (click on the logo above) for information on what to pack and to pay your donation towards costs online.  Filled shoeboxes should be brought into school  on Friday 18th November 2011 (or the last day of the week that your child attends nursery).

New Netbooks »

The nursery children have had a fantastic time using the new netbooks this afternoon.  They have been using paint programs to draw pictures and have been problem solving with Charlie Chimp.  Thank you to all of the parents and friends who have contributed money to the Friends of the School’s fundraising events.

Cookery and Gardening Club »

To celebrate the opening of their Durham store, Wilkinsons donated £200 of vouchers to our cookery and gardening club.  Some Wilkinsons staff and a photographer came along to one of the club sessions and some photographs were taken.  Wilkinsons intend to send these, along with a press release, to local newspapers.  If you spot one of the articles, please let us know!

Nursery's Caterpillars »

The Nursery and Sunshine Club children have been reading ‘The Very Hungry Caterpillar’.  They wanted to see what real caterpillars look like so Miss Wilson and Miss Percival arranged for some very special visitors to come to our Nursery….. five little caterpillars.  These arrived on Wednesday 4th May and they were very tiny.  The children had to look ever so closely to see their short legs.  Now the caterpillars have grown.  Check back to see what happens next…
